BACKGROUND

The Nigeria Policy Council–USA (NIPOC-USA) is a non-partisan, non-profit institutional

think-tank that advocates, through policy initiatives, a well governed Nigeria committed to global peace and the betterment of the life of its citizens.

 

The NIPOC-USA is made up of professionals from various walks of life. The scope of the group covers both domestic and foreign policy of Nigeria.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Nigeria Policy Council-USA seeks to develop strategic policy initiatives for Nigerian governance based on the fundamental principles of Democracy.

To enhance the enabling environment for socio-political stability, economic/investment, diplomatic and developmental progress for all, through disciplined application of ethics = Rigor of Ethical System and moral values to individuals, national and international relations and partnership systems.

VISION

To see a well governed nation where the citizens will have a good quality of life.

To help Nigeria, ECOWAS, Africa and the world reduce or possibly eliminate the scourge of unethical systems, bribery and corruption, betrayals, breach of oaths, and breach of trust in personal relationships, business-partnerships and international/corporate partnerships, as well as the non-observance/application of oaths and integrity in public/civil and private/corporate sectors at all levels. This is envisioned to help mend and build respectable image of Nigeria, ECOWAS and Africa in the committees of nations.

 

 

GOALS

·        To work with government and the citizens in generating policies for public good.

 

·        To work with diversified entities to develop policies to ensure accountability in the governance of Nigeria.

 

·        To work with other interested groups and organizations to generate and develop effective policies vital to national development.

 

·        To work to effect policies that will educate the public on the importance and effectiveness of open government in a democracy.
